Blue Sea Slug

Blue Sea Slug

from 30.00

Blue Sea Slugs are tiny creatures, only about one inch long, but very powerful. They prey on the Portuguese Man o’ War and are immune to its venom. They consume the entire body of their prey and store the venom for their own use in their fingertips. The gas-filled sacs in their stomachs allow them to float upside down at the ocean’s surface, blending in with the blue ocean water. I recently learned that Blue Sea Slugs are hermaphrodites and have both male and female reproductive organs. After mating, both creatures produce eggs.
